Web design
& development

A website is not an online business card you make once so it can sit somewhere. It is the only salesperson who works twenty-four hours a day, never takes a break and never forgets to mention the most important thing.

Why a website matters

People check you out
before they call you.

Imagine someone recommends a tradesman to you. What do you do before calling him? You type his name into Google. If you find nothing, you are already a little unsure. If you find a website that looks like it was made ten years ago and does not open properly on your phone, that uncertainty turns into doubt.

Your clients do the same. The decision whether to contact you is made in the first few seconds on your website — before they have read a single word about how good you are at your job. They judge by how the website looks and whether they can quickly find what they came for.

A good website is not just a pretty one

A beautiful website where visitors do not know where to click is a failed website. A serious website does three things, in order: in the first few seconds it says what you do, then it removes doubt — with examples of work, references and a clear offer — and finally it offers a simple next step. A call, a message, a filled-in form.

If any of those three steps is missing, the visitor leaves. That is why the work starts with a conversation about what the website needs to achieve, not with picking colours.

How it is built

Structure first,
design second.

The most common mistake when building a website is starting with the look. First a template someone liked is chosen, then whatever text is available is crammed into it. The result is a website that looks decent and sells nothing.

I work the other way around. First we agree which pages should exist at all, in what order the sections go on each one, and what the visitor should do when they reach the bottom. Only when that skeleton is clear does design begin — and then it knows what it is for.

The phone is the main screen, not an extra

More than half of visitors arrive on a phone, and in some industries over eighty percent. That is why every page is checked on a phone, tablet and desktop before launch — not by shrinking the desktop version, but by truly adapting the layout to a small screen.

A website you can edit yourself

The website is built in WordPress and Elementor. That means after handover you can change text, images or prices, or add a page yourself — without calling a developer and without waiting. You get a short training session and a guide. If you do not want to deal with it, I am here — but it is your choice, not a condition.

What is included

Everything a website
needs to have.

No hidden items and no extra charges for the basics.

01

Structure and sitemap

Agreeing which pages exist, in what order the sections go and which path leads visitors to contact you. This step has the biggest impact on whether the website brings in enquiries.

02

Design that fits your business

Colours, typography and layout are chosen according to your industry and the clients you want — a dental practice and a construction company should not look the same.

03

Help with the copy

Most clients get stuck on the text. You get suggestions for every section, which you then refine in your own words instead of writing from scratch.

04

Built in WordPress

A website on a platform you can maintain and edit yourself later. No lock-in to a system only I understand.

05

Mobile-friendly

Every page is checked and adjusted on small screens, because that is where most visitors come from.

06

Speed and SEO basics

Optimized images, a clean heading structure, page descriptions and settings for Google — the foundation without which later optimization makes no sense.

How the process works

Four steps
to a finished website.

A clear process, with no surprises in price or deadlines.

01

Conversation and analysis

A short conversation about what you do, who your clients are and what you expect from the website. I also look at your competitors. The result is a proposed scope of work with price and timeline.

02

Structure and content

A sitemap and section layout, with suggested copy. This is the step where you are most involved and which has the biggest influence on the final result.

03

Design and development

The homepage is designed first so you can see the direction. Once you approve it, the other pages follow. You give feedback along the way, not at the end when it is too late.

04

Launch and handover

Testing on all devices, hosting setup, basic SEO settings and training for making your own changes. I stay available after launch.

FAQ

What I get
asked most often.

If something is unclear, write to me — I reply the same day.

How long does it take to build a website?

A business website is usually finished in ten to twenty working days. The biggest influence on the timeline is not the technology but the content — texts and photos. When they are ready at the start, everything goes much faster.

How much does a website cost?

The price depends on the number of pages and the features you need, so a fixed price list would not mean much. After a short conversation you get a written estimate with a clear scope of work, timeline and price. The estimate is free and does not commit you to anything.

What if I have no texts or photos?

That is a common situation and it does not stop the project. You get suggested copy for every section, which you then change into your own words. For photos I can recommend a photographer or use high-quality licensed images until you have your own.

Can I edit the content myself later?

Yes. The website is built in WordPress and Elementor, so you can change texts, images and prices and add pages. After handover you get a short training session and a guide.

Who owns the hosting and domain?

You do — in your name and with your access. I help with choosing and setting them up, but I do not keep your domain with me — the website must remain your property.

What happens after launch?

Launch is not the end of our collaboration. I remain available for changes and questions, and if you do not want to think about the technical side, there is also monthly maintenance.
