A supplement shop that moved from selling through direct messages to a store where customers find the product, see the price and order — without waiting for a reply.
Result Customers order directly from the website instead of arranging every order in messages
The challenge
Supplements here are most often sold through Instagram and Viber. That works at the start, but it has a limit: every order means manual back-and-forth, a question about the price, a question about stock and an agreement about delivery. When ten messages arrive in the evening, some of them stay unanswered until the next day — and a supplement buyer does not wait, they order somewhere else.
The second problem is trust. Someone who hears about the brand for the first time does not know who is behind it. Without a website there is no place to check the range, read what each product does and see that this is a serious shop rather than a side hustle.
This is not a purchase people browse for long. The customer usually already knows the ingredient or the brand they are after — they type the name, compare the price and order. So the store has to do two things: let the product be found in a few seconds, and put everything needed for the decision on its page, without a follow-up question.
The solution
The range is split the way customers actually think — by what they want to achieve: energy and focus, strength and endurance, recovery, immunity and protection. A customer who knows the exact product name gets there through search, while one who only knows their goal is guided through the categories to the right shelf.
Brands stayed visible as well, because some customers look for a specific manufacturer. That way both groups reach the cart by the shortest route.
Every product has a photo, a clearly displayed price, a description of what it is for and a visible order button. Sale prices show the old and the new price side by side, and customer ratings sit next to the product. These are exactly the details that used to arrive as a message asking “how much is it and is it in stock”.
Alongside the store there is a section with articles about nutrition, training and supplements. Such articles bring in people who are still looking for a solution to their problem, and lead them naturally to the products. It is a long-term source of visitors that does not depend on how many posts went out on Instagram that week.
What was done
From the catalog structure to handover and training for independent work.
The range split into categories by goal and by brand, so customers reach a product in two clicks no matter how they search.
One consistent layout for every product: photo, price, short description, ratings and the order button in the same place on every page.
Buying reduced to the smallest number of steps, with the option to order without creating an account.
Sale prices shown with the old price struck through and a discount badge, so the client can run promotions without involving me.
A section for articles on nutrition and training and a set of common questions about supplements — for trust and for visits from search.
The whole purchase flow was tested on a phone, because in this industry that is where most orders come from — in the evening, from social media.
How it went
The biggest part of the work was preparing the product data.
A review of the products, the brands and how customers had been ordering until then. The category structure came out of that.
A spreadsheet with everything needed per product — name, price, description, photo. While the client filled it in, I was setting up the store.
Building the look of the store, entering products, setting up payment and delivery and the emails customers receive after ordering.
Test orders through the whole purchase flow, checks on a phone, then launch and training for the client to run it alone.
The result
No numbers I cannot back up — only what changed in day-to-day work.
Customers order directly from the website instead of arranging every order in messages
The client changes prices, stock and promotions alone, without calling me and without waiting
The whole range is in one place — one link instead of sending photos and prices
The store works even when nobody is answering messages, so evening orders are still recorded
Blog articles bring visitors from Google, independently of social media posts
